Monday 26th December – bike ** – Sunny but chilly.

After yesterday’s gloom today was wall to wall sunshine but a tad on the chilly side with a light offshore breeze. Back to exercises this morning before packing lunch and for the second day running, we set off on our bikes, being Boxing Day, well known for a walk by the seaside we avoided the prom heading for Landguard via Langer Park. There was a high tide warning and we arrived at Languard pier around high water and it was very high, our seat was being splashed so we sat on the beach and to be honest I have never seen so many people here walking on the beach:( With people getting pretty close we did not stay too long before returning through the Nature reserve, there was no way Mag was going to bike back along the prom so went the Langer Road way, while I stupidly took the prom route very slowly all the way to Felixstowe Ferry and it was heaving:( Note to self avoid the seafront on Boxing Day, best head inland where it would have been much quieter! Had a quick walk around the boat yard before returning the short route over the golf course and home. Being a little milder tomorrow I hope to get out windsurfing, then Rob, Hannah and Arlo arrive Wednesday afternoon:)
